Between Fences Essay & Poetry Contest

Rules and Regulations The Solomon Memorial Library and the Henry County Historical Group will host a Smithsonian traveling exhibit from May 1st – June 9th titled “Between Fences.” The exhibit examines how fences have shaped our lives and explores the different interpretations that fences represent. Newville Historical Marker

The dedication of the Newville Historical Marker was held in Newville, Alabama. Generous Friends of Newville contributed the cost of the Marker. The families of J. Cleveland Kirkland and Joel Shelley donated a lot in Newville for the marker and it  is being developed as the Newville Historical Park.
