South Doswell. The church was established about 1825, as a mission of the Lawrenceville Circuit. The present church was erected in 1850. The first church stood on the lot of Mrs. Mattie Dawkins’ residence. It was a two-story structure. The top floor used by the Masons and the bottom floor was used by the church.
